We have made the second move, this one to Colorado for 3 months. It turns out that each transition is a little more emotional because it means we’re a little closer to officially saying “see you later” to so many wonderful people, and I’m not emotionally ready for those moments.
As we were overloading our vehicle for Colorado, I was thinking about our move to Uganda in January and Leland reminded me “That’s something for another day. We have enough to worry about right now.” And we were reminded of what Jesus assures us on a daily basis in Matthew 6:34…“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
While it has been an emotional journey, God continues to reassure us and move before us to open doors and opportunities. He is faithful, even when we’re scared, impatient, nervous, emotional and uncertain.
There’s another scripture that we came across this week that seems perfect for right now in John 16:33…“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
What a huge blessing to have a God who knows the trouble this world will bring and His continued reassurance that He’s with us and He has overcome. Now onto saying hello to everyone in Colorado and building relationships with our sending church, Boulder Valley Church of Christ.
