We officially have a teenager. Adalyn has turned 13 years old. For us and for many of you, it’s hard to imagine that tiny little toddler who left America just as she was 3 years old is now a teenager. But Adalyn has grown into a beautiful young woman, both inside and out. Our prayer continues to be for her heart to love Jesus as she matures and gets older. Here are her annual questions and answers for your reading pleasure.

• How tall are you now?  5’8”
• What are you excited about being 13?  More freedom to do things on my own; Maybe getting a phone
• What are your favorite foods?  Breakfast: English muffin egg sandwich, Lunch: Mac & cheese with hot dogs and edamame, Dinner: Sweet & sour chicken with rice
• What TV shows are you watching right now?  Fuller House, Lost in Space and The Neighborhood (as a family)
• What 5 words would describe you?  Loyal, Kind, Brave, Adventurous, Smart
• What are some of the things you love to do?  Play video games, Cuddle with my rabbit (Bini), Listen to music, Watch YouTube videos
• What is a new activity you learned this year?  How to cook more things; Improve on drums & play the cahon
• What book(s) do you like to read right now?  Diary of a Disciple, Hunger Games series, Maze Runner series
• What are you thankful for?  Our home, my parents, my rabbit & dogs, Tyler school, friends
• What is something you’d like to change in the world?  Probably global warming because we are destroying the planet we were meant to take care of
• What are your favorite games?  Minecraft, Dutch Blitz, Phase 10
• What candy do you like?  Skittles, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Air Heads, Jolly Ranchers, Cadbury Chocolate & Biscuits, Gummy Bears
• What do you like about school?  Math and playing gaga ball
• What has been something difficult you have overcome this year?  Extra homework / preparing for high school
• What movies can you watch over and over again?  Princess Diaries, Hunger Games
• What is your favorite sport?  Football (soccer)
• What has been your favorite place to visit and why?  Murchison Falls National Park because I love safaris and seeing animals. I also enjoyed going on a Mediterranean cruise with Memaw & Pawpaw because we experienced cool things together and I got to eat a lot of yummy food.
• What do you want to be when you grow up?  Professional football (soccer) player
